I am Rebecca. Welcome to RND Therapy!

Often times, past trauma may feel as real as when it happened through our day to day experiences.  We may re-live trauma in various ways such as our dreams, flash backs, sounds,  smells or other sensations. We may express trauma through our behaviours such as irritability, sadness, anxiety, panic, hopelessness. Past memories may linger and interfere with or alter our current world, reality, experiences, existence  and relationships.

I primarily use Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), an evidence-based therapy that helps people heal from different types of trauma. EMDR  has been extensively researched and proven effective for the treatment of unresolved trauma, phobias, and trauma memories.  To learn more about EMDR please visit https://www.emdria.org.

For other counselling needs such as life stress, work stress, family stress, relationships stress, anxiety, depression, diagnosed or non diagnosed conditions, and/or unbearable situations,  I will integrate different therapeutic approaches that will create the ideal treatment program to meet your specific needs.

I will work with you to identify what is best for your situation. This may mean focusing on either past trauma, distressing life experiences,  recent events, coping skills and/or building resources.
